A few months after designing the packaging for CAE Air1 ventilators, CAE once again turns to Creopack to design and manufacture the case for its CAEInjection vaccination training kit.

The product: a vaccination training kit

Having developed the CAEInjection mobile application with the goal of facilitating training on injection techniques, CAE’s idea was to develop an all-in-one vaccination training kit that would contain a syringe, vial, silicone pad (to simulate a shoulder), and an insert that would serve as a stand for most smart phones.

In order to realize this ambitious project, CAE needed a custom packaging partner that could meet the technical requirements in a short period of time.

The challenge: helping in the fight against COVID-19

CAE approached Creopack to design a custom medical packaging box on short notice, enabling them to meet the imminent training needs related to the worldwide deployment of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The requirements: designing a light and fast turnkey product

  • Type of packaging: a cardboard box with a custom foam insert.
  • Specifics: a foam insert for a custom box with storage compartments for each item and an insert that acts as a stand for most smartphones on the market.
  • Lead time: 2 weeks to design a high end finished product.

The result: custom-made packaging ready in a few weeks

In 2 weeks, Creopack responded to CAE’s special request by delivering a turnkey packaging product using our various technologies and expertise in medical and pharmaceutical packaging. The Creopack team designed and developed a custom medical box with an adapted foam compound.

The CAEInjection kit’s custom case, featuring the CAE logo and colors, was designed to be lightweight, easy to transport (to minimize shipping costs), reusable and neatly finished like any medical package.
